Join AJWC for its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m. on the Amherst Town Common.  Bring your baskets and wear your Easter bonnets! This event is free and aimed at kids in 1st-4th grade. Peanut Free options available for families who need them.

Amherst Open Air Market is Open on Sundays

AMHERST – A year-round farmers market is open at the Amherst  Garden Center every Sunday and features fresh, local offerings including produce, meats, eggs, breads and baked goods, jams and  condiments, honey, maple syrup, tea, wine, chocolate, jewelry, cosmetics and art.  The winter market is held in the heated greenhouse adjacent to the Amherst Garden Center Farmstand.

In addition to the above goods, the market will feature a monthly DIY series in which  participants will learn to create a specified craft/home decor item that can be taken home as well as a monthly Kids Corner event where children can  create a craft or hear a story while parents browse the market’s vendors. Also  featured will be weekly live music and a free Market Meal of the Week Recipe Card using ingredients available at the market that day.

The Amherst PTA presents its 65th production, The Wizard of Oz on April 20-23. Come and be part of the wonder and the magic that is story of Dorothy, her 3 wonderful friends, and the Emerald City with the Wonderful Wizard himself, in the merry old land of Oz. The cast and crew of more than 90 began rehearsals on January and are well on their way to performing a magical rendition of this renowned classic.
