Nashua Community Concert Starts Their 86th Season with The Kat Trio

NASHUA –  The 86th Consecutive season of the Nashua Community Concert Association kicks off on September 24th with THE KAT TRIO, from Ekaterinburg, Russia. The trio consists of Victoria Gorbich on violin, Vladislav Gorbich on clarinet, and Joseph Ross on piano. They will offer an eclectic program of Russian arrangements as well as timeless melodies, classical pieces, inspirational songs and American pop standards, including Scott Joplin rags. Their lush musical sounds get wide approval from audiences wherever they travel and perform.

FREDERIC MOYER, concert pianist, is appearing on October 25.  We are honored to host him here in Nashua as his over 30 year musical career has taken him all over the globe, including the Sydney Opera House and playing with many major orchestras around the world. He incorporates technology into his concerts projecting his hand movements so listeners can also view the dynamic performance.

November 21 is the date to enjoy NEXT GENERATION LEAHY, six siblings and their parents following the traditions of over three generations of music, song and dance entertainment. The children, between six and thirteen years of age, share their Celtic and French Canadian heritage with high energy performances on fiddle, cello, piano, and French accordion. Come share their joy of voice and dance.

Sing along with JIM WITTER in a tribute to Barry Manilow on March 9, 2017. With his band Jim will recreate Manilow’s hits including “Mandy,” “I Write the Songs,” “Can’t Smile Without You”.  You may join in since the lyrics will appear on the screen behind him.

KUBECCA, a duo of Kuba Kawnik and his wife, vocalist Rebecca Lowe will appear on March 20.  He is best known for playing the vibraphone and other unusual and difficult instruments, including the theremin (think Star Trek theme). She was the youngest actress to perform the role of Eva Peron in Evita throughout North America and Europe to great acclaim. Their enjoyable program will vary from Broadway to pop, country, and classical tunes.

Our season concludes when the EQUINOX LITTLE BIG BAND rocks the auditorium on April 30, 2017. Bringing swing with style and swagger the band puts its own stamp on the Great American Songbook. Hear tunes from Motown to Johnny Cash, Elvis and more. This is a big band for all generations.
